The Manu Biosphere Reserve it’s one of the most diverse places on earth to go for BIRDWATCHING that holds over 1000 species of birds. This birding destination cover elevations range from nearly 4.000 mts (13.000 feet) above the cloud forest, down to 220 mts (720 feet) in the Lowland rainforest, with a great variety of habitats such arid Montane, Puna grassland, elfin forest, cloud forest, foothill forest and the vast Lowland rainforest.
And apart from bird’s species this trip gives us a great opportunity to see good number of mammals and reptiles as well; specially once we reach to the lowland rainforest, and we will be visiting ox-bow lakes (known as cochas) with opportunities to see Giant River Otters, which is one of the endangered species of animals in the Neo-tropics.
In this tour we will be also visiting the famous “Blanquillo” Macaw Clay Lick with lots of Macaws and Parrots gathering to eat clay on the riverbank
